Sergeant-major Johanssen is a third in command of the Crimson Regiment. A grizzled veteran respected among his peers, he is a smart and savvy officer, excelling at his job. His weapon of choice is a halberd, which he is famously known to refer to as a living being.
Derek used to be a drill sergeant and resumed his responsibilities as such at Dornwick. He got famous for giving his trainees a relentlessly hard time and for his unusual, creative methods and punishments. He eventually earned a nickname of "Sergeant Watermelon".
